Bless Your Home

Bless Your Home

In order to continue to serve our Clear Water Academy community, Fr. Michael and Fr. Alex are welcoming invitations to visit your family home this year and bless your house and family. This is also a beautiful way to have our priests get to know you and your children better!

If you would like to invite Fr. Michael and Fr. Alex to your home, please email Fr. Michael directly and he will work with you on scheduling a date to spend time with your family.

God Bless!

Fr. Michael O’Connor grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He is the second of five children. Before beginning his studies for the priesthood, he offered a year of missionary work with the Regnum Christi Movement in Washington, D.C. There he worked with different youth clubs mentoring the boys. He entered the novitiate of the Legionaries of Christ in 2005 in Cheshire, Connecticut and was then sent to Dublin, Ireland for his second year. He then did his classical studies in Salamanca, Spain, followed by philosophy studies in Rome, Italy. Fr. Michael did his apostolic internship working as the dean of students at two minor seminaries, one in New Hampshire and another in Cornwall, Ontario. He then returned to Rome for theology studies before receiving his assignment to serve at Clear Water Academy. He was ordained on December 10, 2016 and has been thrilled to serve as our chaplain since the beginning of the 2017-18 schoolyear.

Father Alex Mijangos joined the Congregation of the Legionaries of Christ at age 17. After having done novitiate in Cheshire, Connecticut, he professed religious vows. He studied Philosophy at the Legion’s College in New York and Sacred Theology in Rome. He was a member of the formation staff of the Legion of Christ's Apostolic Schools in New Hampshire, USA, and in Ontario, Canada. He professed perpetual vows on September 2010 and was ordained a deacon in Tabasco, Mexico on June 2015. On December 12, 2015 he was ordained a priest at the Basilica of Saint Paul outside the walls in Rome. After carrying out ministry as member of the formation staff at Sacred Heart Apostolic School in Rolling Prairie, Indiana, he was assigned to serve in Western Canada as member of the Regnum Christi youth work team and at Clear Water Academy as formation instructor.
